Flamborough 2017

This week year 1 and 2 took a trip to the seaside!

They have all been learning about the RNLI  and the importance of staying safe near the sea.

A representative from the RNLI visited us in school recently to show us all the different flags and tell us their meanings and show us what the lifeguards wear and why.

On our visit to Flamborough lifeboat station we got to see and experience the lifeboat crew uniform and equipment and see the lifeboat for ourselves!

We did some rock pooling and found lots of interesting creatures and shells…. and a mystery object that we are writing to the natural history museum to ask them to help us identify.
