Wisdom in Lumsdale

We were invited to Lumsdale yesterday to their annual open day. The children had the opportunity to step back in time and try their hands at traditional crafts, milling their own flour and baking bread. Then they made their own chalk paint and decorated spirit people before making dyes from natural substances and tie-dying fabric.

Mrs Travis and Miss Harris were interviewed on camera so keep your eyes peeled for them on the TV!

Chairman of the Arkwright Society Lumsdale Committee Julian Burgess thanked the children for taking part and was really impressed by their enthusiasm.
