Year one went exploring into the woods yesterday looking for animal homes, they saw nests in trees and were even lucky enough to see a Badger sett! The children used their binoculars to look for birds and squirrels in the trees and spotted 4 different types of birds and 2 squirrels. They scoured the area looking at what kind of food sources there are for the birds and looked for deciduous trees. They just had time for a lovely warm hot chocolate before heading back to school!
