Party In The Park 2017

The sun had got his hat on ready for Party in the Park 2017! We took the whole school down to the beautiful Hall Leys Park for a brilliant day packed full of fun activities for everyone. We began with Uncle Michael’s final assembly, we’re really going to miss his unique assemblies and wish him all the very best in his well earned retirement. Parents, carers, friends and family joined us for activities such as storytelling, Boko Haram (flower bashing!) with local artist and friend of the school Sarah Bradnock. The younger children completed a scavenger hunt whilst the Key stage 2 navigated their way around the orienteering course in the park. We rode on the train and sailed the boats around the duck pond. Headteacher Clare Peat observed “We are so lucky to have amenities like Hall Leys Park on our doorstep, the children have thoroughly enjoyed today. Thanks to everyone who has made today possible and to parents for joining us to make the day truly special for the children.”

Our pop up assembly made one passer by remarked that the children singing “I’ve got the power in me” gave her goosebumps! It does us too!

Pop up assembly! I've got the power in me!
