As part of our weekly Friday enrichment groups, the children are able to learn from one of the most amazing classrooms possible – the environment.
We are very lucky to have been asked to take part in a very exciting environmental study and development project. The Arkwright Centre have been successful in securing funding to re-instate the middle pond at Lumsdale and the children from Castle View Primary School are supporting in this development. Each Friday during the Summer Term a group of our children walk over to the site, carry out biodiversity studies and help to clear and prepare the site. The aim is to return the middle pond to it’s original glory with pond dipping areas and spaces for future generations to enjoy.
